DAPHNE WING M.Sc., Registered Psychologist
I have been registered as a psychologist since 1985 and have had a counselling practice for many years. My philosophy is one of helping clients to recognize and build on their strengths and resources in order to promote healing. I have the utmost respect for the courage it takes on my clients’ part to embark on therapy and always feel honoured to be involved in their journey with them.
I work with many different presenting problems. These include depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, family issues, grief and relationship issues.
I have specialty training in a number of therapeutic approaches including:
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
- Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT)
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM)
I believe that everyone is unique and that healing is achieved in different ways for different people. As a result, I try to be flexible and creative in my work in order to determine what strategies and approaches will be most helpful to each individual client.
I am an approved service provider with First Nations and Inuit Health Branch.
