ANDREA LEE M.A., Registered Psychologist
My career has been fuelled by a passion to understand how and why people are who they are. This deep level of curiousity was first fostered in my career as an elementary school teacher. My greatest joy was watching children develop new skills or begin to understand new complex concepts, as well as working to understand problematic behaviour from a developmental lens. Over the years, this evolved into wanting to fully understand what was underlying many of the challenges I was seeing in the children I taught.
Gradually, my bookshelves and nightstand became filled with books on childhood development and psychology. That’s when I decided to pursue a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and become a Registered Psychologist in March of 2011.
My work draws upon my skills to help schools with struggling children and teens, to counselling people of all ages in private practice clinics, and supporting young and emerging adults in specialized programming. Today, my practice serves people of all ages. I am so grateful to be able to do this work, and I am privileged to have people share their life stories with me.
I can help empower you with the right tools, support, and guidance to help you achieve mental health and wellness, whatever that looks like for you. I use a variety of therapeutic interventions that I tailor to each session and client.
I work with teens and adults who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, developmental stage issues, parenting challenges, and/or relationship concerns. I also specialize in helping individuals navigate relationships with narcissistic personality types.
